Review
XYplorer is a replacement file explorer for Windows. Unlike the original Windows Explorer, XYplorer takes a rather different approach. Taking a lot from Firefox and the like, XYplorer adds a tabbed interface to the everyday use of file managers. Thus, you don't have to scroll through tens of windows to find the one that you know is somewhere. Also, this file manager is keen on allowing you to search your files in many different ways. You can find files if you know their size, location in the hard drive, creation date, tags, etc. There are even more ways to find your files. XYplorer also gives you a lot of information about your files. That information is distributed among several windows within the main window. On the right-top window, you will see your files, which you can sort in a lot of different ways. This application just "feels right" because even after just installing it and using it for the first time, you can get work done really easily. The application is light and well-thought. Stability is a must and this seems to be even more stable than Windows Explorer. This review focuses on version 7.9. However, the most recent version is 7.90.0010. |
